Value of a Whole house Audit

Whole house audits are very useful because they can pinpoint where your house is wasting energy very precisely.  A certified contractor can come to your house to run a series of tests to check for any leaks in your insulation, ducts, or overall building sealing.  They will also check for any dangerous gas leaks and can ensure the safety of the air quality of your home.

Tests include:

  1. Infrared imaging of insulation to check effectiveness.

  2. Air leakage test using a blower door to pinpoint leaks in building envelope

  3. Ventilation check

  4. Gas line inspection

  5. Heating/cooling system inspection, including duct work
